Wiper Blade The wiper blade on my car had no rubber left, so I got a new blade that had a similar attachment "hook". The gap is smaller than the pin in the arm that it would slip over. How do I attach the new blade?

Re: Wiper Blade I had the sme issue, I was told that the common replacements like you have is really for the vacume motor style, and the blades that fit the electric motor style are hard to find and expensive. Because I had a 1930's after market motor also I modified the shaft to use the vacume style arm and blade. When I find all the parts I need to get my orignal electric motor rebuilt I will need to purchase the " expensive " blade also, or figure out a way to just replace the rubber. I would be interested in any info of were you find a proper replacement blade.

Re: Wiper Blade I bought a blade for my 29 electric wiper from A&L about 15 years ago. I'm not sure if they still have them, but it's worth a try. A&L 1-860-693-0112

Re: Wiper Blade Thanks for the suggestion. I'll call them.
The rubberless blade I took off had the same hook, with a gap that was a little bigger. It came off almost inadvertently, so maybe it was a slightly modified vacuum type. |
