Who does the best horn restoration Who do you people feel is the most reliable, need to get one out and done ASAP. Seems that Bill Randall broke is ankle is is out of commission for a while...Need another person?:confused:

Re: Who does the best horn restoration You already mentioned who I was gonna recommend. If you need one for fine-point in Oshkosh, I may have a Stewart~Warner that has been rebuilt that I could loan you until he gets "back on his feet" and can do yours. PM or call me if that will help you.

Re: Who does the best horn restoration If you need to have the armature or field rewound I believe Jim Diehl in Cadillic, Michigan is good and reliable. Last year I had him rewind the fields and armature on a Sparton; he did an excellent job. He also installs a small bearing in the mounting base for the lower shaft of the armature to run on instead of relying on oil on the felt.
