36 5-window rear window seal
 

I can't seem to locate a bottom seal for the rear roll down window of my 36 5-window. I have the replacement rubber/felt glass channel and rubber bumpers but nothing for along the bottom of the glass. Can someone point my in the right direction?

the rear roll down window drains into the gutter under the window. the gutter has been known to rust, even on dry cars.

The gutter on mine has a large diameter outlet which drains down to an outlet through the floor to the outside world. I would imagine they're all the same?? (ie rhd and lhd).

Imarsch-

There is none! The water just flows down the window into the trough. From there down a rubber hose on the right-hand side to an outlet on the bottom of the rocker panel. This is a super-prone high rust area. If you are replacing the hose rather than try to fit the hose around the hose boss in the inside bottom of the rocker fit a plastic plumbing pipe into the hose and put that inside the boss. Everything will work as designed except the potential rust problem will be history!

you can't find a lower seal because a seal for your application does not exist.

When it rains--it pours......

My 35 has the trought and spout intact but it's rusted down near the rocker. I am considering putting a grommet somewhere in the floor and let it dump there. Not concerned about originality.

I guess it was a cost thing but on the odd occassion the drivers side only drain can be a problem.

I've kinda sideways parked on a steep hill with the passenger side heavily raised and it's then rained heavily. On subsequently moving the car and in all ignorance of the situation developing i've driven off smartly to find the accumulation of rainwater has quickly leveled out, overwhelmend the drain on the passenger side and flooded over the top of the tray!!!!!!!!

I park more carefully after that and have intended to install a smaller diameter drain on the driver side to prevent such accumulations, but i haven't done it yet..
