Re: Pinto with "A" engine ??? I remember seeing that in a magazine in the late 80's when I was a kid. Pretty sure it was a very modified B engine because he could.

Re: Pinto with "A" engine ??? We had a member in the Jewel City Chapter (Glendale,CA) that put an A engine into a Willys Jeep station wagon some years ago.

Re: Pinto with "A" engine ??? I saw just such a car at the antique nationals in Palmdale CA 10 or 15 years ago. it was owned by an old man and had a B engine with a 4 port Riley head on it.
If I remember right he turned about 82mph in the quarter mile, no memory of his ET Richard Anaheim CA |
Re: Pinto with "A" engine ??? I saw that Pinto back in the '70's. It belonged to a man who lived in Sun Valley, CA.

Re: Pinto with "A" engine ??? He first ran the Pinto with a Winfield flathead, later with the 4-port in it. He took Ed Winfield for a ride on one of our Winfield Weekends. It also had an automatic trans in it.
