White goo on oil filler

I've been noticing a white slim/goo around my oil ser. tube and on the oil cap when I add oil.
I norm. drive it twice a week, each time I go about 10-12 miles about 35-40 min.s to make sure the temp. get's up to normal before I park it.
I use 15W40 Rotella oil plus about a 1/2 abottle of STP on oil change, and I change it when it get's dirty, about every 300-500 miles, all town miles 35-43 mph avg.
The rad. seldom need's servicing, their is no water in the oil. and the eng. runs ok.
Any ideas why ?......Thank you.

I call it "short trip" syndrome. When the engine does not get hot enough long enough to evaporate the moisture that naturally finds it's way into the crank case. In this case the water vapors turn "milkshakey" mixed with the oil. Try covering the radiator partially or adding a thermostat, and this will likely go away. Or do what I do and take the scenic route, which typically adds about ten minutes to the drive!

Before I installed a 160* T-stat,my engine wouldnt get over 145*.It has to run hotter to get rid of the condensation.I check mine with a meat thermo in the filler neck.

Are you sure there's no water getting the oil- a seepage from the head gasket maybe? It is obviously water and oil that is forming this mayonaise white goo. As indicated the water evaporates once the engine gets warm enough. I live in a very damp climate and have never had condensation from the atmosphere forming in the oil - though indeed it is theoraectically possible .
