This was sent to me by a friend today. Not sure if anyone here has seen it before, so I thought I'd post it. I'll put it over on the "T" side, also.
What a difference a few years makes!

Back in 1956 the labor charge was $ 4.50 hr. Now it is $ 100.00 hr. BILL

In 1935 the flat rate book lists a labor rate of 1.80 per hour, the rate in that ad looks to be less than 1.00 per hour---I would think that cleaning the plugs, replacing what amounts to a dist cap and rotor, and 4 sets of points, adjusting the carb would be more than 1 hour --probably 2

Inflation is a nasty tax on us. I will not say who causes inflation (rules of the forum), but anytime that we spend more money than we take in, the currency becomes worth less than before.
