Re: leaf springs New springs might help. but they will be dry. If your springs aren't shot, why not clean, paint and lube them?
Even just squirting oil on my bone dry springs made a big difference. |
Re: leaf springs Tom, how do i tell if there any good or not? like i said, i sprayed and sprayed them no difference. JAN

Re: leaf springs I don't have a good front end shot, so I hope someone else posts a picture showing how high the front should set, and the same with the rear.
No Model A is going to ride like newer cars, but still should be a comfortable ride. |
Re: leaf springs Have you greased/lubed your shackles? If really dry they may be hanging up. Also you don't want to tighten them real tight. They need to move without being restricted. Just a thought.

Re: leaf springs Rusty, i did spray them, but it could be them, because when i push down on the bumper it stays i have to pull it back up. i can see the shackels move when i push down, and pull it back up. JAN.

Re: leaf springs Maybe the shackle bars are too tight.Just snug nuts up,then back nut off 1/4 turn& install cotter pins.
