Distributer Lower Plate Manufacturing Defect!

2 Attachment(s)
I am cleaning up some original lower dist plates to see which one I want to use.

So I am inspecting the bottom part for dirt and rust. I was kind of surprised to find no fiber washer on the one rivet, but it was over in the middle!!

Keep in mind this came from a dist that was obviously used. So it worked fine as is.

I have heard of this before, In the book Peter W. Can't remember his last name , this was one of the snafus during Model A production.

I'm not sure, but couldn't that be a washer from the condenser screw?

Tom it is the washer from the bottom. It is missing from the rivet.

I thught I saw a smaller washer under that rivet, but I guess it's just the dark from the hole.
