Parts painting

I am painting the exhaust and intake manifolds because of rust. Both have been bead blasted. How many coats are best? Brattons says only a light coat of the heat resistant paint on the exhaust manifold.

Put very much on, and it will burn off.

The intake manifold gets normal green engine paint, and it does not seem to suffer from heat. So it can be painted like the rest of the engine.

In order to immulate the original painted look, a thin coat of paint is sufficient whereas thick paint does not look correct IMHO.
