Couple more Deluxe Delivery Questions I've seen several 1930 and 1931 DD's and none of them had a body tag on the firewall. There is a 31 Deluxe delivery on Ebay that has a body tag below the firewall data tag. It's not legible so don't know what number is stamped on it. I had a late 31 and there was no body tag OR rivit holes where one could have been. Could this be correct for 30 and early 31? If so, what would the identifying body number be assuming it's different then 130B since the 68C Cabriolet is 131-. Did Budd have firewall body number tags?
Second question. When did the switch occure with the Locking T handle and the separate rear door lock? Barb Birt |
Re: Couple more Deluxe Delivery Questions My 1930 deluxe delivery does not have a body number tag. The rear door has the lock in the handle. I think the 31s had the separate lock.

Re: Couple more Deluxe Delivery Questions My 31 does not have a body tag below the data plate. It does have the seperate lock from the handle. (see my avitar). Not sure when the change from integral to seperate took place. I don't think that the body tags necessarily coresponded to the Ford body numbers we all know ( 130 B in this case). I believe these numbers meant something to the body manufacturer and did not follow Ford systems.
