29 rumble seat hinges

I just picked up a deck lid for my 29 roadster and it has original rusty hinges. It looks like they bolt to a couple verticle pieces in the trunk area. I think they need spacers if I'm correct. Anyone have ant ideas?

are both pieces of the hinges on the decklid? One part of the hinge bolts up at the top of the trunk opening through the drip rail and has a raised pad on it. The shoulder bolt slips throught this from the inside and goes in to the second part of the hinge that bolts to the decklid and the shoulder bolt is what it pivots on. Did I help or make it worse?

Here's a couple of pictures of the assembly, the bracket that goes between the quarter panel brace and the rumble hinge, and all the hardware you need. The brackets are usually included when purchasing the repro rumble hinges - don't know if anyone sells them separately or not. All the major suppliers will have the hardware kits and they're typically under $10. Good luck.

Pretty sure he's talking about the TRUNK HINGES here.

I was talking about the trunk hinges because he referred to the car as a decklid and not a rumble lid. Sorry for the confusion, if you have a rumble lid than Randy has the correct info.
