'32 roadster door gaps

I have a Brookville '32 Roadster body on a real '32 frame, I've shimmed the body to where the beltline on the doors lines up perfectly with the body, the doors look good and close fine, the hood fits pretty well, the only thing that I can't fix is the the door gaps.

They are both perfectly even but the LH gap is larger than the RH gap by about 1/8".

Can I do anything to make it 100% correct or is this as good as I can get it?

First, measure the width of each door. Second, measure the openings left and Right. Lastly, call Brookville and ask them why the four individual measurements are all different.

I've done quite a few Brookvilles, assembled some of the bodies and bought some assembled On the ones we assembled the door gap was easy to control. On the ones Brookville assembled some were spot on but a couple required adding and removing metal from the door edges to get the desired paint stick gap.

Mine was assembled by Brookville. So, how would I remove metal from the door edge?
Would I have to remove the skin and grind away the edge and then re weld it back together?
