32 b mdl
 

I have a couple b engines,best i can tell one ser.no. starts with ab500 and the other b504,should both start with ab or did some start with b only? thanks Randall

Passenger vehicles started with *AB5..." for the first 62,386 cars and then just "*B5..." after that (where * is a five pointed star).

So are you saying the first motor is maybe a 50,000 type number and the second is a 504,000?

No, all of the U.S. (and British, but not Canadian) fours' numbers were preceded with a 5 followed by six digits. All that changed at number 5062387 was the elimination of the 'A' from the prefix.
