Making progress on my 39 Zephyr. Got all the old paint stripped off and scraping off the old undercoating underneath the floors.

Used aircraft stripper on the topside of the body,it had the original paint on it and I found no plastic filler, just some lead where the body panels join. I will sandblast the underside.

Looking good Ken. The second owner of our '39 Zephyr put roofing shingles and tar on the interior floor, took me several weeks to get it all out. Except for a few small pin holes at the driver’s side "A" pillar and some surface rust along the interior of the running boards, the floor looked good. Vic

Re: Making progress

How do you stop it rusting after you have stripped it and before you put the paint on.

Nice pic's Ken, will be watching your post's on the Zeph, as I'm more than partial to 39's:D
My project is very slow, seems everyone either need's a new heating system or their annual tuneup is due, I'm buried.
