Round Bowl Tilotson I have a old updraft carburetor made by tilotson that fits right on the intake of my old 31 coupe but it has a slightly larger fuel inlet. It has a round float bowl and a strange needle that is opened by full throttle. Does any one know anything about this carburetor?

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...onF1B007-1.jpg It's a Tillotson F1B. There was quite a thread on them a year or two back you might be able to find with search. A fellow at the 1994 Tacoma dual meet gave a talk on rebuilding them and had written an article in Skinned Knuckles about them. Alleged to give excellent mileage due to small jets made useable by that extra gizmo activated at full throttle. No parts are available, I believe. Steve |
Re: Round Bowl Tilotson got several for parts. Bob

Re: Round Bowl Tilotson I have a few Tillotson F1B carbs. These carbs are untested but some look pretty good. If you need one or more I will let some go reasonable and ship priority mail. If interested PM me
