Y-Block flywheel

I can't remember, is a Y-Block flywheel unique or can you use it on another engine?

What I remember is not ever hearing of anyone using it on another engine, either 6 or V-8.

Y-blocks are internally balanced so it will swap to any other Y-block....I think.

Re: Y-Block flywheel

I have a good , ready to use standard flywheel with a good starter ring that has already been resurfaced . It's very heavy but can ship for you . I am also going to be at the HAMB drags at Beaver County Drag way in Pa. on OCT 1 if you are coming and need the flywheel . I will be glad to bring it with me . The flywheel is $80 plus shipping .

Thanks, but I don't need one. I have one and was wondering if I should keep it for something later on other than a Y block engine.

Only good for a Ford Y Blocks , but I would hang onto it if it's a good one ! You never know when you might need it !

A flat head flywheel has four bolts and two good sized dowels. A Y block flywheel has six bolts, but the holes are offset just a little so the flywheel only fits on one way.
