37 ford rear axle

greetings everyone-trying find if the rear axle in my 37 is right for the year. the spring hanger perches are welded to the axle housing and rad rods are bolted to the backing plates, which by what i read should put it to a 37-41 housing. however there is no fitting to lube driveshaft support brg which i understood to be a 37 inprovement. serial number puts it to a mid-year build. anybody ran across this before? thanks for your time.

Re: 37 ford rear axle

Not all '37's were built with a solid drive shaft that had a zerk fitting in center of torque tube to lube a support bearing. I had a '37 rear removed from an original '37 std coupe that had a hollow type drive shaft that was same as '35-'36. Do you know what type of drive shaft you actually have inside the torque tube? If you have a solid drive shaft w/o a center bearing, that is not a good thing because it will whip around inside the torque tube and cause vibrations.
