A bit confused

Hi guys need some help here, We are installing the rear bumper on dads car a 1930 Tudor the support arms measure 4 1/2 inches which looks to be 1/2 inch too long, call Tom at Snyder's only had four and half and five and three inch long ones, but tonight reading a restorers book saw were 30 should be four inches long, so do they not make the four inch any longer are do any of you know where to go and get them. as always thanks

AH-HA! I have the same situation on my 30 Tudor. I did not know that there was a four inch version of the supports. Maybe I can re-drill the holes in my 4 1/2" supports until the right ones can be found??
I will be interested in what others have to say.

Is that 4" dimension for real? Anyone know for sure? I have only heard of the 4 1/2" stands for a Tudor, but 4" would fit real well for my car. Body and frame appear to be good, body mounting blocks are new, arms are original Ford. The car had no rear bumper when I got it.

I think we might have figured out what the deal is, true enough the book i read said 4 inch, but no one has 4 inch so i think this was a misprint. what i think is happing is we install the the bolts in the frame not on top of the frame with the thickness of the frame and the three foot length to the end I think i should gain a half inch making 4 1/2 going to try this weekend will post if this fix it.
