Re: Tie rod ends I would try Napa first.
Works good Lasts lomg time |
Re: Tie rod ends Vic Hubbard www.vichubbard.com or even napa, but not speedway.
i was shown how the speedway needs to be threaded in at least half way before there is no wobble with the end in the rod. the Vic Hubbard was very solid with no wobble at just a couple threads in. rich |
Re: Tie rod ends I would check with Stacy Brown DBA Antique Auto Supply in Arlington Texas or Bob Selzam Toms River NJ,both are V8 Club members and may have NOS Genuine Ford or old NORS either one which is not made by the Chinaman . Another choice is to make sure you know proper parts number and track Ebay. I would make sure Napa ones are not foreign made metallurgy, not an area to go cheap on. I have seen some real junk over the years from Argentina,South Africa and now mostly China. have always found Genuine Ford ones with some patience.

Re: Tie rod ends Just a point of interest: The 35 ford Original tie rod ends had the zerk fittings on the side and not on the bottom, the drag link was one piece and not adjustable it also had the zerks on the side of the ends. Both the original tie rod ends and the drag link are very hard to find. The later 36-40 or 41 adjustable drag links and tie rod ends with the zerks on the bottom will work.

Re: Tie rod ends NAPA has them and they say they are made in the USA but I do not know what they look like but I ordered a pair anyway.. I'm also found some that are NORS and were made around the 1940's or 50's but have no markings on them. Would items that old be made in the USA.
