The distributor locking nut had come lose and the timing went away. That combined with a lose spade connection on the power side of the coil caused the problems.

Again, the Packard 440 wires were purchased from F&S, thus refuting the claims that they won't work with an electronic ignition.

On second thought, I guess the problem wasn't those pesky F-A-M's!

Thanks for the update...mabe I'll try those 440 wires:)!
That a zepher intake? If so how do you like its' performance? I have a zepher like that, with 2 97s, but haven't tried it yet. How have you jetted those two 97(?)strombergs to run right? Some think 'overcarburated'..if 2 97s used. Is that a '32 front engine mount? :confused:
