Macungie Meet August 2011
 

Just heard on a Metropolitan web site that July 1, 2011 is the dead line to register your car for the show. It is a real nice show, small flea market,, good food, bands, etc.

Last year on Sunday there were more Nash Metropolitans there than Model A's !! PS I like and am looking for a Met myself. lol

Last year, we stopped at the Burger King on Rte 100 on the way into Macungie, and a bunch of the Metropolitan folks were staying at the motel behind the B-K.

We watched the caravan form and leave from the motel, heading for Macungie Memorial Park - I think I counted at least 24 Mets...

Almost looked like a bunch of Shriners on Parade ! :D


Am hoping to take my '28 Special Coupe to Macungie...


One of the best old-car meets on the East Coast, in my opinion... LOTS of Pre-War cars !

BTW - SATURDAY is the big antique car day; Sunday allows rods too...

We used to go to Macungie but stopped in the mid 1980's after a few years of rain, it was always a great show and flea market. I'm sure the flea marked has gone downhill like all the others, but it would be fun to drive down again.

I am set to go. without looking my # is 690 entry ...or somewhere close. only 1300 cars are allowed on Saturday. Anyone with a nice complete glass gas filter bowl for the "A" forsale and will be there let me know. Need it for a friend out west. thank you.
