Good advice
 

Reading the thread below reminded me of about 55 years ago when my dad bought a 23T frame and a 26 pickup body that we mated. It was one of my 1st old car lessons. We cleaned the old Ts carb and the float was all small holes so we needed another one. We had some places where we looked for a replacement but no luck. One of these people told my dad to try making one out of this new stuff called styrofoam, so being someone who liked to make his own repairs, he made a beauty, fit just right. So the old carb went back togather. We tryed to start it but no luck, so the carb came back apart. What a suprise, no float. Thats when we knew we had been hoodwinked. Does anybody else have some good advice storys?
