Remember, today is for those who died serving and Veterans Day is for those of us who survived.

Thanks for your service, Steve, and welcome home. I won't mind saying it again on Vet. Day.

When my father came home from WWII and went to the bar the drinks were on the house.
My cousin went to Korea and went to the bar when he got home and had to buy his own drinks.
When I go home from Viet Nam they wouldn't let me in the bar. :-(

Thanks Steve. I was in Nurnberg Germany when "the wall" went up, but was fortunate enough to not see any actual action. 3rd gun battalion, 39th Arty. 280mm cannons!

Re: Vets !!

Every time I see and soldier, I stop and will go out of my to shake their hand and thank them personally. Even if it's a WWII Veteran proudly wearing a cap indicating such. I too, am a Vet. I was fortunate so serve in Peace time. Had a brother in Korea (combat Infantryman) and another in Germany (peace time).

Remember, thanks to these men and women, we will see peace time again.

I thank God every day for them and their safety.
