Re: Vets !! When my father came home from WWII and went to the bar the drinks were on the house.
My cousin went to Korea and went to the bar when he got home and had to buy his own drinks. When I go home from Viet Nam they wouldn't let me in the bar. :-( |
Re: Vets !! chris , that is so true . but i believe they treat the troops today much better , or at least i hope so ............... steve

Re: Vets !! Every time I see and soldier, I stop and will go out of my to shake their hand and thank them personally. Even if it's a WWII Veteran proudly wearing a cap indicating such. I too, am a Vet. I was fortunate so serve in Peace time. Had a brother in Korea (combat Infantryman) and another in Germany (peace time).
Remember, thanks to these men and women, we will see peace time again. I thank God every day for them and their safety. |
