Frame Welting Question

Does the frame welting go above or below the splash shields, or both? When I took the truck apart, one side had it both above and below the splash shield, and the other only had it below.

Thanks!

Bob

Re: Frame Welting Question

Mine was below only and ended at rear of the running board panel, the mounts are on top so no need for lacing there.

Re: Frame Welting Question

this may have already been answered but here goes, webbing on top of frame, splash aprons on top of webbing, rubber pads on top of splash aprons, body blocks on top of rubber pads, then the body, webbing runs from the front ot the frame under front frnders to the back of the splash aprons, it helps to tack or glue the rubber pads to the body blocks, cut a slot from the side to the edge of the pad so you can slip more pads in to align the body with the doors that way you dont have to remove the body bolts to add or remove the pads, "wescot auto" site has a drawing where and how the body blocks go

Re: Frame Welting Question

Thank you. I thought that mine had too much as the welting rolls you buy have only enough for one piece on each side.
