Front bumper bolts and spacers

When bolting up a new front bumper, am I supposed to put anything on the length of the end bolts and under the spacers (never sieze, grease etc.) or just bolt them up dry? I would hate to get corrosion or something happening in the parts I cannot see and keep clean.

Also should there be a washer and or lock washer on the end with the nut?

As always, thanks a bunch for the help!!!

Bob

I would use grease or antisieze on the bolts. Bolt head is black, spacer is black, then the bottom has a lock washer and nut.

What color is the lock washer and nut?

Tom, if I can correct you, the end bolts were raven finished with heads painted black. The spacers were painted black. The hex nuts were also painted black but the lock washers were unfinished.

Both of you are correct to a point. Tom I must agree with you, in the interest of preservation, an unpainted lock washer won't cut it. Gary, in the interest of fine point judging, you are correct. Jim Langley...
