1932 cabriolet 1/4 panej I have a friend with really ruff 32 cabriolet and we were talking about repairing it. Could a Brookeville roadster or United Pacific 5 window quarter panel be used to repair a 32 cabriolet 1/4?
Thanks, Dave |
Re: 1932 cabriolet 1/4 panej The five window quarter would be closest. But you’d need to remove the big bead adjacent to the decklid, and rework the curve of the side beads where they come together at the back end. Not sure, but the door length could be different too, so a cut a change at the B pillar might be necessary.
Other than that, it’s a piece of cake. |
Re: 1932 cabriolet 1/4 panej The door length is slightly different from the 5 window. There is also a difference in the height of the deck (though the deck lids are common with the roadster and 5 window).
The bead around the fender is way different between the roadster and cabriolet and very similar between the 5 window and cabriolet. I agree with alchemy the best start would be with the 5 window panels, and a lot easier than starting with flat sheetmetal. If you are looking for another basket case... call me. |
