God bless them all. They provided us with the strength and unfortunately their sacrifice, to protect our way of life.

God Bless all those who made the ultimate sacrifice and also all those past and present who are serving. We must never forget nor take our freedom for granted.

Our freedom depends on past and present of those that have served and are now serving.
God bless them all.

Re: Can't Praise Them Enough!

Memorial Day is to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans Day is to honor all who served.

Re: Can't Praise Them Enough!

I’m the Commander of my local American Legion this is the short needed to keep it under 2 minutes speech I gave 6 times at various ceremonies today.

Since the founding of the United States, more than 1.1 million Americans have died defending our nation in war and combat. Each one had a story, a family, and a life of service and sacrifice.

We are here for the 2,341 American servicemembers who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor. We are here for those who gave everything at places like the Chosin Reservoir, Normandy, and in conflicts across generations. We are here for the men and women who continue to make the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday weekend. It is a time to remember the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy and to honor those who never made it home.

The best way to honor the fallen is to live in a way worthy of their sacrifice: by strengthening our communities, helping our fellow veterans, supporting military families, and teaching future generations what this day truly means.

We must tell their stories.
We must speak their names.
We must never forget.

We are here for them.
