Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types If possible, list a few of what you have. Might generate interest. I know 1949-50 Merc pumps are getting hard to find.

I tried this with water pumps, starters & generators (over 125+), cylinder heads, intakes, even a number of '40 Ford radiators...all of it got scrapped. Scrap yard gave me $5 each for the starters and generators, about $60 each for the radiators. |
Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types Gosh Kube, that's depressing. Shows that "Old is not Gold."

It is just more proof that the only thing that doesn't change is the fact that everything changes. |

Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types Kube - I'd be interested in any 1933-1935 water pumps. Let me know if you have any and if so, we can work out something.

Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types If you could separate out the 32 tall pumps I am sure there is a market. Early pumps with plain pulleys without any type of reinforcement in the casting also. Early right hand pumps with nipples for heater hoses (these are all aftermarket for Ford).

Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types Any OCM pumps would have some value since they aren't repopped. JMO

Yes, I agree. Make a quick list of what you have please. |
Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types I had a ***** block and crank kicking around for ages. I was gonna build an engine but found out what it was going to cost. A guy came through the neighborhood hood picking up scrap. It's gone. (I may have to revise my signature below...)

It seems there are a lot of us in the same boat. I have a shed full of Flathead Parts. I’ve put ads on the Internet I had one guy come he picked up a starter and a generator.
I just gave them to him. I hate to scrap it, but then I would hate for my family to have to deal with it when I’m gone. This picture is from about 10 years ago. There’s double the amount of parts AND a 1947 Woody in there now! |

Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types I’ve had a few parts for sale for at least half a year, and not one call. I did sell an original Ford engine fan shroud a couple years ago pretty quickly after I listed it. Guy was happy to find it and gave me CAN$50 when I was only asking CAN$40.
I see that Iron Trap Garage is buying up estate sales. |
Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types Hi, Would you have a nice, not corroded pair of 37-41 double sheave truck pumps?
Sorry i am a new member and do not meet the PM conditions yet. (NZ based but have California shipping address) Thanks Paul |
Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types With all you guys scraping 8ba blocks i'll take one off your hands

Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types Just imagine all the unknown desirable parts hidden away in the stashes of Fordbarners.
Trouble is, the market is fading away as folks pass on and the once valuable goodies get tossed in the dumpster or scrapped as selling it off is an arduous task. |
Re: Scrapping- ALL my water pump cores Many types 4 Attachment(s)
