Model B Oil Pump

Has anyone put a Model B oil pump in their Model A engine and what changes were needed if it is done. I read this was possible to increase oil pressure

yes no difference, pressure is controlled by resistance. to get more flow there are a number of things you can do ,reduce diameter of shaft, open up intake , we did one on a drilled crank etc & it blew the oil filter off at 90psi , drilled the pump stem & brazed on a relief valve from a V8 one ,Still got that pump after 45 years ,

I have a reprinted book with Fords service manual and in it it covers modifications to the original pump to increase oil volume ! I recommend everyone have a copy of the service manual !

The Model A & B oil pumps are interchangeable and have the same performance. Pump B-6600 was A-6600-B.

I have a B pump rebuild kit available if anyone might want to try it. Priced at "A" Kit price.
