Re: 1937 big truck panel I have a good running 59ab and a T9 all set to go. Problem being I'd get obsessed with it, spend a year making it go, then it sits in the shed to keep that paint outa the rain. Really no fun to drive and less so as I get older. But don't get me wrong I absolutey LOVE that thing. And the price is totally right. I have only driven my green tonner (avatar) like 3 times since a totally rehabbed it a couple years ago. But I LOVE that big panel.....

Re: 1937 big truck panel Cars I didn't buy are more regretful than the ones I bought. LOL. However, sometimes the time just isn't right. That engine and transmission you are saving GB would make a nice base for a coffee table you could make in your wood shop. I'm happy that you don't mind a little teasing GB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 1937 big truck panel That cabover is magnificent, it even has the car hubcaps!

Re: 1937 big truck panel I envy you guys that have the space and $ to collect the commercial type vehicles, especially GB Sisson who is still making them “earn their keep.” I find the big COE types with their unique styles to be most interesting. I marvel at all the work that was accomplished with 100 HP and less. I would bet the heat of the engine in the cab over trucks was welcome in the winter but a nuisance in the summer in the days before AC. Back in the 80s there was a guy here who had a 38/39 COE with a tilt bed that he hauled his drag car on. Truck and car painted alike. Quite impressive to me!

Re: 1937 big truck panel Well guys, I was on facebook marketplace last night and noticed I had a message to read. It was from Danny, the current owner of this big panel. The message said that he had reduced the price to 4500.00, but he needs it gone so he'd take 3500.00 Just plain not in the cards for me right now. I agonized over it for hours and awoke to the same reality. It just can't happen for me. I told Danny I'd post up his new price, and he was appreciative of that. It had been his uncle's project, but the uncle passed way over the winter.

Re: 1937 big truck panel After talking with Gary by PM and phone I was all ready to make arrangements with the seller to check it out. But then, as Gary said reality sunk in and the logistics etc. made even a good detail not so good. That said, I'll be happy to look at the panel for anyone that might be interested.
