Fender skirt identification

I am posting this in hopes that someone here is willing to help me with definitive answers to a few questions I have about these skirts I just acquired. I am usually pretty good at sleuthing around on the internet to get answers when I need them, but I have found conflicting information about this style of skirt all over the place, including here. I'm hoping someone with firsthand knowledge can tell me:

-What years they fit
-When they were first available
-How much they might be worth

For context, I bought out a collection of parts from the estate of an early Ford guy that was local to me. Most of it I am keeping, but I don't think I have a need for these and will likely re-home them.

I see these skirts advertised periodically with the claims of "1935-1936" and "1937-1939" and every combination in between. I had always thought that 1935 and 1936 did not interchange when it came to skirts, though I have only ever really been paying attention to that within the context of bubble skirts, not necessarily these flush-mount style.

I've seen them advertised as "original" (as in, stock, 1935, 1936 "Ford" pieces) and I've also been told that Ford did not sanction or offer skirts at all during this time period...

I also see them listed (past and present) in various places for prices all over the place. As low as $800 and sometimes anywhere between $1500 and $3000. I don't know what they actually command in the real world though.

These were labelled as "35/36" when I pulled them out. I did also hold them up to my '36 Phaeton and they fit the wheel well opening perfectly. Does this mean they would also fit 1935?

I hope this makes sense and that someone can shed some light on them for me once and for all.

Thank you in advance!

My experience with 1935 fenders is that the tire opening varies +/- 1/2" between fenders so they may fit.

I dunno...I once had some 36 skirts and they didn't fit my 35 rear fenders...

I bought a pair of skirts like those shown that were advertised as fitting 35-36 Fords and after I received them, they were about 1" too short at the bottom of the fender opening and believe they probably fit 37 Fords and possibly up to 39 Fords.

I plan to keep them as is and not install. So beware that there are other sizes that all look the same.

I have a 36 Ford 5W Coupe and I have no idea if they would fit a 35 Ford.

I have a few pairs, I know that 36 and 37 interchange but 38 deluxe are a smaller radius and are probably inch smaller than 36/37. I know this from cars that I have owned.

The skirts you have are genuine Ford accessories. If they measure 30 inches at the bottom from point to point they are for a 39. They would also fit a 38 sedan and station wagon. If they measure 31 inches they are for all 37 and might fit 38 coupes and convertible coupes. Rare item. PHIL
