1933/4 front wheel studs
 

Hello there guys, I am an imposter on this forum but I've been posting on the Model A one for years. As some of you might know, Henry didn't have the front/rear brake balance right - not enough on the front. I'm trying to get around that on my well used touring car by putting 1934 brakes on the front.
Everything has gone OK so far but there is one problem. One of the wheel suds has been mangled and I've found they are unobtainable. So, my only option is to find an unserviceable hub and use a stud from that OR have one made. That would be expensive so I have spoken with a parts supplier here and he is prepared to make a run of them if he has orders for 40.
I figure that if I owned a '33 or '34, I'd buy at least a set even if I don't need them now. They have no "use by date" so they could sit on the shelf till I or someone else needed them (or even one).
So, the purpose of this post is to try to see if there is any interest for them. I don't know what the price will be (the more, the cheaper) but bear in mind that one of your dollars buys about $1.40 - 1.50 of ours.
What say yo guys?

Early Ford V8 sales and G&G both list 34 studs, maybe others do also.

I have only 1 and you can have for free but postage is 7.65 Euros = $12.87 AUD at todays exchange rate.

A model A guy knows you have to cut the swege off to press the stud out, correct?

Correct and I have the tool to do it - again!
I'm looking for confirmation or otherwise about info I was given today. That is, the Model A studs are the same but might be the same but the parallel shank might need shortening.
To those who know, true or false? If true, I think that would be a good way out.

I've had the same problem of finding front wheel studs for a 34. The #B-1107 studs sold today are not correct. Either in overall length, or in the shank length that gets swedged into the drum. The overall length is too short to have a nut completly run up on the stud. The shank is too long to swedge.

Can't swedge those!

I found a Model T Rear Hub Bolt #T-2888 is a much better alternative for the 34 front drum.

Their overall length is good, and the shank is perfect to swedge:

One point though. The B-1107 studs and the Model T studs both need a little help on the rear side to fit the drum shoulder. The heads are too small. Here is the market studs sold:

What I did is spot a little weld on the corners of the T-2888 (which fit better than the B-1107) and ground them down to fit tight against the drum shoulder:

Leadfoot, I agree - those Model T studs look like just what I need. T-2888
From what I have learned, the Model A studs are the same except that the shoulder is 1/2" instead of 3/8". I have everything I need to modify one of those but they come only in sets of 5 here and that would leave me with 4 studs. What the heck would I do with those??? The Model T ones are probably the same but I wouldn't have to modify them.
Thanks to you guys, I feel like I am closing in on a solution.
