How do you bump an item

Hi Members, question-How do you bump up an item in the swap meet section that you had placed some time ago so members have a second chance to see it.

Thanks in advance!

Are not for sale listings CLOSED to everyone but the original lister?

I suppose that keeps the commentary down.

I believe you are correct about only lister can bump. I have tried sending PM to a lister on item for sale and never got a response. He is a long term member and lists many items. Gave up trying

just write to your original ad and it pops up to the front. have to wait a few days at a minimum.

There are those who carry VOLUME of listings, not only here but on Facebook Marketplace and even Ebay.

There is a convention common especially on Marketplace that when an item sells, the listing is quickly removed. And that's it. Your clue that it has sold is it "disappears."

Some are not even quite so responsive or attentive. Possibly even rude thereby. If they're not selling to you - they ignore you. But the listing stands.

But - for good or for worse - that IS the market.

It is refreshing when someone replies to your query. "I'm sorry the item sold." I usually wait until the money is in transit and an apparent delay before I make a query. Nobody has ever had to return my money due to a misunderstanding.
