1935 Ford 2 door slantback. What are these 6 parts and where do they go? Thanks in advance.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts First picture upper left: Front fender braces, late style (early style extended to fender).
First picture middle: Strut braces, goes from fender braces to frame. First picture upper right, engine pan (not sure of which side) First picture bottom, Grill to frame shield. |
Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts the heavier supports are for head light under fender support. The one with the bigger hole in the center is the driver side pan, the one with rounded lip is for under radiator. the smaller braces could be rear front fender supports? If i remember correctly

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Yes, I see the engine pan and late 35 fender braces under headlights in the 35 36 Ford Book. I will test fit those thin braces on the rear fenders.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts 1 Attachment(s)
One end of the small bracket is attached to the middle of the large bracket, then goes thru a hole in the fender splash panel after which the other end gets attached to the radiator support bracket. Have some good pictures, but away from home and this is about all I could quickly find in that regard:

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Ohh, no, that is good, I would've never thought that small bracket goes there.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Henry Ford IV. After having spent many hours assembling my 35 convertible sedan which
had been completely apart for over 40 years, I'd like to pass on this advice concerning the small front fender braces. Don't snug them up tightly until your front fenders have been installed and you see how well the center hole in the main bracket lines up with the hole that the headlamp stud inserts through. There is the ability to slightly adjust the fender bracket hole with the small diagonal brace on each side. |
Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts "Don't snug them up tightly" is good advice for all bolts in all fenders, until all bolts are started.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Thanks, I won't snug them. The car is coming together. It was taken apart about 15 years ago, the owner did the frame and took the body off and primered it. He put the body on the frame with the running gear and then got too sick to finish it. I finished the engine, got most of the wiring in and am putting the front end on it. Needs interior.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts The engine tin is the left side, will need to be installed with the pitman arm disconnected from the front steering as it goes in the big hole.
|
Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts That solves that part, thank you, I hope disconnecting it isn't too big of a job. The passenger side headlight arms are loosely in...even though it was about 30 degrees in the garage today.

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts where are you located, about 9 in my barn

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Central PA

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Unheated garage, attached to basement. It is 12 degrees outside!
|
Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts If I could get to my shop I'd almost think 30 degrees good enough to do some work.
|
Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts I have a few old Fords and I cherish every one, but not enough to work in these temps! lol

Re: Need Help To Identify 35 Ford Sheet Metal Parts Hope you all made it through the big storm
