Rear Licence Plate Bracket & Mobil Horse

I recently put a 1930 surround on my regular modern plate. I had a Mobil red horse thing above the plate. When I put the Mobil red horse back on I needed to choose between mounting it on the left or right side of the top. I chose the right side because it presented less sticking out the side. Do you agree with me or does the left side look better?

I think they look better on the outside but I would be chicken to do it because of the vulnerability factor. That being said I think you did the right thing. :)

I could not remember the name Pegasus. I worked at the old Mobil refinery in Brooklyn, NY for a few months one summer in 1962 packing motor oils in cans and barrels. I got a chance to drive a truck taking pallets around the refinery. It was a summer job. The refinery has been shut down for decades. I got to see the water around the refinery as the most completely polluted stream imaginable.

The Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn was an important navigable path for industrial barges, and the recipient of unprocessed waste. It got the title as one of the most polluted places in the US, and was declared a Superfund site. Due to high housing prices, the industrial buildings along the canal are being refurbished as apartments. (A friend lives in one and it’s very nice.) There are ongoing efforts to clean up the canal.
