I found this relay on a swapmeet and bought it, its maybe not a Ford original, anyone know history of them, but it's text at Ford, Mercury, Zephyr.

I would call that a voltage regulator not a relay.

deuce_roadster has it, that is a generator regulator. It will almost certainly be a 6V positive ground unit since it lists Zephyr along with Ford and Mercury. The Zephyr was long gone in the USA by the time Ford went to 12V.

Note ; the Canadian aluminum covers had a 'maple leaf' stamped in them. neat part. Newc

Doesn't look like a genuine Ford part to me. Don't recall seeing any original Ford part with all the description stamped into the cover like that.

Sorry on the correct name on the part.
I guess its not a Ford part but one saw it here today ( rather knowledge in old hotrodding ) and he thought it was or came from Ford.
