1915 Model T has been in the same family since 1919 1 Attachment(s)
Christian Nelson Thompson came to the USA from Denmark in 2015,
known as “ Pa “ he settled in Spokane, Washington. He bought this 1915 Model T Touring in 1919 and promised it to one of his sons in 1930 when the boy was about 12 years old. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1756910339 Jim |
Re: 1915 Model T has been in the same family since 1919 Very nice example of a survivor.
A lot of options of which way to bring it back into action. Thanks for the look. |

Thanks for posting !
Sara is the daughter of Howard, growing up she wondered what was the story of “ Pa’s “ car and what would become of it, time passed and the Model T was neglected, but Sara never forgot, she made herself a promise to get the car running again. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1757003275 Jim |

Sara and her husband John started researching
and found the last year of registration was 1932, this is about the time her father was promised the car. So he decided to brand it, drawing his initials “ H.T “ on the back along with a question mark on the back and rear passenger door, along my with “ STOP “ and “ EXIT “. “ Pa “ worked for the railroad until his passing in 1967 and kept cans of boxcar yellow paint around. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1757110117 https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1757110118 Jim Jim |

1915 Model T has been in the same family since 1919 Thanks !
Glad you appreciate the story. Sara and John planned for years how to bring the Model T back and when they were ready I was contacted to start the process of bringing it to it’s new home in North Carolina. I contacted a friend with a trailer in Spokane who went up to Deer Park and carefully retrieved it from a boat house, then dropped it off at Antique Auto Ranch where I had made arrangements with Tom Carnegie to see if he could get it running again and make a list of what was needed to get it in condition to hopefully attend small tours. The plan was to do as little as possible, a conservative approach to stabilize and not modernize. Sara name the car “ Lizzie “. Tom got it running and I scheduled a trip to Spokane to pick it up for transport. Jim |
