Mitchell overdrive
 

I am looking to install a Mitchell overdrive in my 40 ford four door in a few months. Does anyone have a picture of their 40 with a floor shift installed? Any opinions on cable vs floor shift? Thanks

In my 41 pickup I used the Tee handle under the dash so it looks and works like a later ford OD control. In fact I hope to find an old ford OD knob for it. It works nice. The unit was easy to instal by just following the instructions. No problems in 4000 plus miles. Tm

Cable shift in my 39 works great.

Measure your floor carefully. Some cars need floor modifications to clear a Mitchell and some don't. Trucks always clear so that isn't a guide for cars.
