what should AA lug nuts be torqued to. which side is ccw ?

Hey Richard,

It's been a LONG time since I worked on an AA, but you aren't getting any responses, so figured I'd jump in with what little I remember.

Torque- I used the "human torque wrench" arms to get them as tight as I could. Guessing around 80 ft./lbs.-ish.

If I recall, it was driver's side going CCW on the fire truck I worked on. But the tow truck I worked on had no CCW lug nuts.

CCW refers to "counter clockwise" (to tighten) otherwise known as "left hand thread."

Brain assist - left hand (drivers) side are left hand thread. (CCW)

On cars with directional lug nuts, always tighten toward the front of the car...

Just look at the portion of the stud that's sticking out past the nut.

Thanks guys.
Why didn't I think of some of these things? `Look at the exposed threads, tighten toward the front of the car ?
Why engage the brain when I can get such good advice from old friends?
