How was Upholstery made at the Ford Factory This is late Model T vintage but it was probably not much changed for the Model A era.
A simpler time. No polyesters were killed in the process. Nice honky tonk piano. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzIgDB5BmB8 |
Re: How was Upholstery made at the Ford Factory Ford moved over to the Rouge for model A production and the new assembly line but they revamped part of the old Highland Park facility to manufacture the interior and exterior trim sets for all the Model As. There are pictures of it at The Henry Ford site. Ford made the movie about how their wool fabric very close to the shut down of the model T line so there was likely not a lot of change for the model As.
The Briggs Body factory had a fire so they contracted with Ford to use a part of the Highland Park plant as well. I don't know if they made any model A bodies there but they definitely could have. |
