1928 header cap fit
 

So I am getting close to fitting the top and top trim. It's pretty far in the process to ask such a thing but how are things supposed to fit in this front corner? There's a little gap that i question how that's sealed up. I can't find a specific picture of how it was before removing the header. The cap is nailed in the original holes in the face.
