Source For Sheet Metal Repairs
 

Any suggestions for for a reliable and quality sheet metal fabrication shop located within 400 miles of State College PA. Specifically, I need rear wheel wells fabricated and installed in a '32 Ford Tudor.

I believe Posie's in Hummlestown is still in business. Hot Rod orientated but highly competent.

Inquire with local/regional heating contractors. They use subcontractors to fabricate and install all shapes of metal ductwork for heatibg/AC systems. Those fellows can be quite inventive. Proper gauge of shett metal important.

Hopefully the HVAC guys would use galvanized so they don’t rust out again. Maybe they’d use those self tapping screws for easy removal if they do get rusty.

Ha. My mis-spelling of the word "Sheet" was not intentional. Metal duct fabricators work with a wide variety of metals and metal gauges to suit a project's needs. Galvanized sheet metal is used where there is high moisture content in the project's interior enviorment and air haandling system i.e. kitchen and laundry spaces. An advantage of a galvanized finish is that the zinc coating acts as a good primer for coatings such as paints and undercoating.
