1951 8BA road draft tube
 

Is the 1951 8BA road draft tube just a slip fit into the intake manifold? I would like to remove mine, repaint it, and reinstall it. Thanks.

Yes, slip fit at the intake. Spray it with your favorite penetrant and tap it back and forth / up and down till it loosens up. A good hard tug while you’re tapping it will help. …….Mark

Don't use a metal hammer or you will dent it.

Sorry for intruding, I do have a Wanted Ad placed, but these pics are so good,...I need the lower clamp for this tube for my '51 if anyone has an extra. Thank you.
