Oil Pressure discrepancy

Has anyone else seen where the in dash oil pressure gauge on a 1936 coupe is exactly 10 psi higher than a mechanical gauge which is on the same T as the oil pressure sender. The sender is new from Thirdgen.

Re: Oil Pressure discrepancy

The sender must match the gauge. Early systems were 50 lb, late were 80 lb. Your sender should have the number 50 stamped on the unit.

Re: Oil Pressure discrepancy

Sender that are not stamped on the square drive above the block are older 50# which should be correct. A discrepancy of 10# between two gauges is not uncommon.
