Love old Fords in original or restored condition as in these photos. In my opinion they are no longer 1934 Fords if they have been modified or hot rodded. Regards, Kevin.

Re: New 34's in a row

Whitewall tires were a factory extra cost option on Fords in the 1930s and later so could be deemed original equipment. Regards, Kevin.

Bought a truck with whitewalls once and spray painted them flat black in a parking lot before I drove to the ferry landing to bring it home. And more pie crust please. These photos are great!

I wonder why the camera made things smaller moving to the right?

Re: New 34's in a row

The distortion in the picture from Marshall, IL is my fault. The picture was hanging on the wall of a narrow hallway (on the way to the men’s room) and I couldn’t get square to the picture to get the entire image in my phone. It was frustrating, because it was such a great photo. I didn’t think to check to see if there’s a Marshall historical society to search for the photo.

Re: New 34's in a row

I've always wondered how were the trailer brakes in the above photo actuated? Was it a mechanical linkage or air?
Thanx,
Tom
