I bet this isn't the first hub the guy has worked on. The fixture thread pitch and diameter must be a very common size on trucks.

Concentricity to start is the key.

He probably goes back to the shop afterwards to make up the NEXT undersize nut.

When he finished that he called me to give me a free estimate on windows, siding and roofing. He then sent me a text that I had an unpaid automobile ticket with a list of penalties I’d face if not paid by Venmo. He then jumped on facebook and tried to sell me an almost new washer and dryer at less than half price with no cash payment at pickup, only Venmo. He’s called me atleast 50 times total, one time to tell me I’d won a Cadillac and just needed to send the sales taxes by western union before I could take delivery. Maybe it’s his brother and not him. Being poor lights a fire and results happen one way or the other, not being poor has ruined a large population in the US,,,,,
