!936 Ford Dash lights I as looking at some posts about the dash lights being dim. I can see the fuel and oil gauge ok but not great. The speedometer is lit well enough but the temperature gauge and ammeter are difficult to see. I am using 6 candle power bulbs. Are there any brighter bulbs on the market?

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights LEDs are much brighter.

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights Make sure you have a good ground to your dash and gauges.

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights The bulbs don’t get dim over the years, but the plastic lense gets opaque. Find a good substitute for the lense and replace all of them for consistency.

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights Where would I get 6 v. led bulbs that fit in the original sockets?
|
Re: !936 Ford Dash lights Alan - There are lots of suppliers. Here are two that I have used. Logolites sells an LED 6 volt positive ground (“#63” LED Light Bulb) that drops right into the speedometer bulb clip and even has a round plastic cover in the same shape as the original

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights Hobby stores have sheet plastic you can make new colored lens for your dash lights.

Re: !936 Ford Dash lights I also increased the rectangular openings where the light goes through and plastic lens'
covers. Part of the pbm is that the light bulbs were not close enough to these openings to give enough light to the guages. terry |
