fi tech tri power fuel injection

Has any here tried this product? Comments? I'm considering it for my 1962 Galaxie 406. The reliability, starting and fuel economy of a FI system are appealing.

My 57 has Holley / Ford 94's tri-power setup. A more expensive , and time consuming project than a person might think.

I don’t have any expertise with fintech, but I’ve been running EFI on my bird since 2011. Older system (Accel computer, Boss throttle body, GM in tank pump, etc). Works nice. The reviews I found on the fintech did mention some of the things I had trouble with.

When all was said and done, almost every sensor that came with my system had been replaced. Mostly they were GM throttle body items, temp, throttle position, etc. But they were off shore replacements, and they either failed outright or were out of spec on set up. The guy who did the install for me had lots of experience, and right off the bat he could see some weren’t right. Fortunately none of the failures left me stranded. When the new fuel pump failed, it was in his shop, both lucky and convenient.

There’s a parts list in the glove box of what “vehicle” and the Delco part number of all those items. Just in case. It extends to the ignition components, as the computer controls timing at WOT, part throttle, and cruise. Modern system often give more than these 3 options, but it gets me by.

So those questions are worth asking. If those sensors are proprietary and not generally available, it can be a concern.

The fuel pressure you’ll need, but probably not the volume. Unless you’re doing a lot of engine work, it won’t need to support 600hp. Another question worth asking.

My buddy has the regular 4 barrel fiitech on multiple cars and loves it. The main thing is he is able to get them going like a rough out drivable. Then takes it to their shop to get dialed in. Look up tuske427 on IG currently he has it on GTO. And has done a gasser as well.

Cleaned up all the “made in” crap… please don’t pollute good threads.

Why would warning others concerning poor quality parts 'contaminate' a thread?

It would also be nice having one's post corrected, to either notify that person or make an entry within that post.
