Junky part
 

I started a thread a couple of hours ago. I want a 1936 dash light switch. A little while ago I got an email from junky part saying he had the dash light switch. I know it's a scam. I didn't even respond. I'm curious if anyone else got an email from junky part one time or other saying he had whatever part you were looking for? Or maybe he changes his email every week or so.

String him along for as long as you can. They deserve it.

Agreed. Tell him you'll pay him way over his asking price if he'll send you back a money order. Really play it up.

Ask him his location and tell him you have many friends and one may live near him who can pick up the switch and pay him directly. Also ask him to send a photo of the switch as you need to know which one it is as there is "more than one type". If he e-mails back asking what type do you need tell him you need the "toggle" type.

Alan, I am real and I believe I have one. I know the ‘36 is the same as a ‘37 except for the knob. Do you have a correct knob? Email me at [email protected] if you haven’t found one yet.

I've been watching this and have to ask : Is there really someone out there hawking parts under the name "Junky Part Man"? There was a reference a while ago on the H.A.M.B about a legitimate freight outfit that went by the actual name of "Pirate Shipping". While I would never think of doing business with a company with such an "unfortunate" name., there must be some who would.

I guess anything is possible these days.

"Junky Part"... no, never heard from him. But... I do have some junky parts! lol :p

I always pay 'way over' their asking price when it comes to buying up some country free-range chicken eggs! That was they never forget me! lol... and when the chickens slow down laying and no eggs avail... I can always manage at least a half-dozen! :) I tell the rancher/farmer... "Well, I don't mind. I like to help you with with the feed for you flock."...

ps: at one ranch, they keep cold beer in the outside refer that the eggs are kept in. I have an on-going invite... 'comp free cold beer anytime i mite be a tad bit thirsty when getting a doz or two eggs. owner don't even need to be on property if i need to or want to stop by. but i do call first!

I've used "Pirate Ship" many times, and it's easy and cheap.
