Does anyone know of some place that can match paint

No one around KY can. The car is Washington blue with a lot of original paint. What I would do is send them the cowl vent lid to match too.

Most auto paint dealers have a computer run camera that will take a pic and decide on the mix from that. they need a piece about 1 foot square.

To bad your so far away. I use Auto Body Supply in Lincoln NE. Been there forever. I replaced the hood sides and tailgate on my 32 Ford pickup which was some sort of semi gloss green. I took them the old tailgate and a few days later they called they had it matched. I had them put the paint in aerosol cans. They did several so I had a couple spares. Perfect match

Yes, they all have a camera and will mix what the camera shows. It takes someone who can look at the final mix and know what tint to add to achieve final color. And I want a single stage paint like enamel. And that makes the job more difficult due to the limited tints they have to work with.

You just need to find a guy that cares about doing his job, which may not be easy. Maybe you could ply one into caring with a case of beer.

Oldford: Give these folks a call. They were able to match the metallic paint on my 34 year old Ford truck. It was a perfect match. Base coat/clear coat.

I have had tcp global do it for a nightmist blue metallic mustang. I sent them a quarter panel extension for them to color match. It wasn't exact but it was very close and blendable.

I've used these guys with variable results; the first time, it was very, very close.:) A second order six months later, not so much.

There is a shop near me called wholesale auto paint. They mixed paint for my old truck and it’s really good like 99.8% match.

Thanks, I will first try TCP. That is where I use to get all my lacquer before they stop selling lacquer except for black. Does not make sense they can sell black lacquer but no other color. I want a single stage paint like acrylic enamel. I think bc/cc would be to shiny.

Can a flatening agent be mixed with the base coat/ clear coat to lessen the shine?
